It was great to go back to Multiverse (virtually) last week and meet some more of the apprentices. They are all so committed to learning and asked great questions.
We were talking about stakeholder engagement and how to get people to work with you when delivering projects. I shared some top tips on meeting expectations, how to create a sense of ‘team’ and managing up – especially important in a matrix environment where you don’t have official hierarchical power to ask people to do what you need them to do.
The delegates on the call had plenty of experience from diverse backgrounds and took away some project management templates to help put their new knowledge about this particular aspect of managing project work into practice.
